Biography

Meet Muzikjunki, also known as Dani Hageman, a dj/producer from Rotterdam, who is working his way up and that’s an understatement. His first release “Feel Now” appeared in dozens of dj playlists worldwide and his track “Look Deeper (feat. Ace)”appeared on a mixcompilation of the well known Club Kristal (Romania).

MJ composes most of his tracks solo, but every once in a while other producers or vocalists are working with him. One of these collaborations is a live hiphop/dance project, which is one of the many things scheduled for 2006: lyrical madness by vocalist Ace on top of intelligent, fat, electronic beats. Muzikjunki and Ace go way back: they teamed up in the past as “Nasty Federation”, a live act that brought mayhem all over the place a few years back.

Muzikjunki really found his musical path these last years: he composed an enormous amount of tracks and did remixes for acts like Jase From Outtaspace (“Do What You Want”), Liquid Eyes (“Advocate”), Matthew Dekay (”Time to think”, unreleased ) and Yardmen ( “Deep Congress”, unreleased) wich he remixed with dutch house talent Baggi Begovic.
New projects with Mc S and also the talented 365l!ve ( Auke Ferwerda ) and Paul Sparkes are coming up through the summer of 2006 and more !

Next to producing, this guy dj’s like you’ve never heard before! Many years behind the decks made him an experienced and extremely skilled dj! His dj sets always have a warm feel to them! You’ll hear his own tracks, homegrown bootlegs and fresh soulful, uplifting electrohouse & breakbeat 12"es. You could have caught Muzikjunki doing what he does at Off_Corso R’dam, Nighttown R’dam, Panama A’dam, Club Rotterdam, Jimmy Woo A’dam, the Thalia Lounge R’dam, the Level Arnhem, Babylon Brno (CZ), the Mansion A’dam, Jackies RC R’dam and the BUMB R’dam.

Muzikjunki also played many radio sets for ID&T Radio, WF Radio, DFR radio and a 3 hour set for the well known internet radio station Proton Radio. He also gave an extremely well received performance at the afterparty of the 5daysoff closing party featuring Underworld at the Heineken Music Hall, A’dam.

Furthermore, Muzikjunki played at the biggest truck of the Fast Forward Dance Parade 2005 in Rotterdam, an open air event which can be compared to the Love Parade in Berlin. This truck had his own theme song, “Signs”, which was produced by MJ. “Signs” is released on the Rotterdam based 2Recordz.
