Biography
DJ Lava (Anderson Vila Nova, Brazilian) has Amsterdam as his base city since July 2000 where he spreads his contagious "música fantástica". He will get you bouncing around with an energetic mix of techno, house, electro, funk, acid, rock, punk...
In November 2003 together with DJ Lupe, DJ Lava as co-organizer and resident DJ started the still successful underground party UNK (funk, punk, hunk, spunk, drunk) every 4th Saturday of the month at Club8.
At the same time he made his first steps as a music producer. In January 2005, together with Eldit he releases the 12" STROBOLIGHT EP (distributed by Lowlands records).
He is regular DJ and art assistant at the Artlaunch party in the Melkweg (Max). Organizes regular monthly successful parties Flush!it in Pakhuis Wilhelmina and Blackbox in Studio 80 since 2005.
He played in Amsterdam at: Getaway, Electrorated at Winston International, Goesting at Bitterzoet, Schande at Club11, LFTFLD Magazine party at Pakhuis Wilhelmina and Sugar Factory, HUTSPOT at Paradiso, Love Dance at Paradiso, Belgique at Club More, De Zonnebank at Club Sol, De Platenkoffer at MVS Radio, Artlaunch at Melkweg (Max), Acid Nouveau at Club 11.
Outside Amsterdam at: TOON Festival at Stalker - Haarlem, Vênus Automática at Ampgalaxy - São Paulo, CIO 80's at D-Edge - São Paulo, GRIND at A Lôca - São Paulo, Eyes Need Sugar at La Scène - Paris.
Besides music he also loves to share energy with people… and this is what feeds the music style he plays: Música Fantástica. Expect everything except samba… check his demo and you will feel that it's hot, clash, controversial and sexy.
