Biography
After being raised in the rural areas in the northern part of the Netherlands, Manakin settled in Amsterdam in the early 90's and began his DJ career almost 14 years ago
Inspired by the weekly VPRO radio-shows with KC the Funkhaholic at that time, Lee started to get really interested in underground house music.
Having found house music on the dance floor of the notorious Amsterdam Club RoXY,
Manakin decided to spend an increasing amount of time and energy to music, buying himself turntables and a mixer.
His style varies between minmal, electro and techhouse. Searching his recordcase you’ll definitely find tracks of producers like Steve Bug, Guido Schneider, M.A.N.D.Y and Francois F. Cochois
Manakin played for crowds internationally and domestically over his long-standing DJ career, and he continues to move crowds with his blend of minimal groovy house sounds
