Biography

VJ Moi is all about creation of ideas using the media of animation, music, and performance. He is one of the most skilled visual designers and lighting technicians in the Netherlands today.

BACKGROUND
VJ Moi always had an interest in visuals, with a background in web design and a sense for aethetics. Fittingly, he has a long history in the music industry, even before he began his visual career prefessionally. He was a drummer in a highly successful UK band throughout the 90s,  touring and gaining experience from lighting and stage designers before he ventured into the visual and animation realm himself.

EXPERIENCE
VJ Moi began visual club performances in his native London in 1996, playing some of the hottest venues and clubs the capital has to offer. In 2001 he relocated to Amsterdam, a truly international environment. In Holland he managed to develop his skills as a light designer to in combantion visual jockey to great effect. Word spread of the skills of VJ Moi, and he has totalled over over 300 performances in the last two years in Holland, playing alongside tops DJs such as Erick E, Austin Leeds, Steve Porter, Paul Sparkes, Layo & Bushwacker, Chris Zegers, Gustin and Marcella. VJ Moi was resident Club Sol two years, and has guested in the finest clubs in the country including the Melkweg, Panama, Hotel Arena, studio 80 and many more.  He also toured with Soulvation, Dutch act that was responsible for the smash hit track Reset Ya Brain from 2005. He has also perfomred at one-off events for Greenpeace, the Amsterdam Dance Event and various fashion shows .
In addition to stunning club perfromances, VJ Moi is repsonsible for a high quality animation piece for design for Foot Locker that was shown on heavy rotation on MTV to widespread acclaim.

FORTHCOMING ACTIVITES
VJ Moi is currently working on new DVD multimedia album with Amsterdam DJs Paul Sparkes, Gustin + many more, which is expected to hit the streets in Spring 2006.
VJ Moi performs consistently in the top clubs and venues in the Netherlands, alongside the some of the top DJ's. He has strong ties with the music industry, his exceptional use of technology combined with sublime creativity sees him one of the most in demand visual performances in Amsterdam.
