Muzikjunki & Paul Sparkes – Closer
(original mix & MJ & PS underground rebootmix )
Release date :25-08-2006
Label : www.Muzikism.com
This is the first from a whole range of collaborations between Muzikjunki and Paul Sparkes in which they prove that the Dutch housevibe is not yet dead, it’s just evolving!
Muzikjunki, who just recently signed up with Laughing Buddha agency, is one of the rising stars from Holland. Playing all the big clubs in Holland ( Panama A’dam, 5days off festival, Lowlands festival, BUMB R’dam, Club Rotterdam, OffCorso R’dam, the Thalia lounge R’dam,
Heineken Music Hall A’dam etc. etc.) he’s becoming one of the big promises for the future.
His first release ‘Feel now’ on UK based Navigation records appeared in dozens of playlists
all over the world. Another Muzikjunki release ‘Look deeper’(F2Recordings, CZ) appeared on the Crystal Club Compilation 2005. His remix of the 2005 clubsmasher ‘Do what you want’ by Jase from Outerspace ( Navigation records) still is a wanted item in the world of vinyl. Also his latest vinyl release ‘Signs’ with the vocals of Fadoua Mae (2recordz, NL) was a well received record in the Dutch clubscene.
Now Muzikjunki signed up with Muzikism for no less than 10 releases from which this is the second.
Paul Sparkes, who came from the UK to live in Amsterdam, already gained massive respect
for his release ‘Ladysparkes’ with US based BCML (Ben Camp & Mat Leutweiler) which came out on Silver Planet. Now Paul is hosting his own radioshow on Proton Radio, DFR Radio and
Element Radio. While flying around the world to play gigs in the US, Isreal, Dubai, Sweden and the UK he still finds the time to coordinate www.365mag.com (former www.Xpander.com) .
The release comes with 2 mixes, the original mix which is a feelgood house vibe with a
massive rolling bass underneath and the second mix is a darker breaksmix and therefore should appeal to the more underground orientated dj’s out there.
